OREFALE OREOLUWA CROWNED MISS NYSC BAYELSA

Pomp and pageantry welcomed the NYSC Batch B, Stream II variety night at Kaiama Grammar School, the Bayelsa State NYSC Orientation Camp which held on Friday night, 10th February, 2017.

The much-anticipated night by all camp officials and corp members featured beautiful moments from Miss Camp contest to Mr Macho contest, Miss Big, Bold & Beautiful contest (by all 10 camp platoons) to songs by invited artistes and special features.

The skies were redolent with joy when Orefale Oreoluwa, Miss Camp Contestant representing platoon 6, emerged winner of  Miss Camp Contest and was crowned MISS NYSC BAYELSA.




The beauty artiste and budding serial entrepreneur, Ore is a talk show hostess who finds passion in building female teenagers to grow and be their best.





An SDG volunteer corp member who is committed to using her new earned status as Miss NYSC Bayelsa to make a positive difference through service and humility, Ore is a Geologist from University of Ilorin, hails from Ilese in Ogun State. She shared that it was her first time to contest a beauty pageant, dressed as a Yoruba maiden who danced to the popular "Kokobilo" by Lagbaja.




Oreoluwa who is also a sensational worship leader with The Avalanche, official choir of The Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, Ilorin disclosed that being Miss NYSC Bayelsa, JESUS DID IT for her!

Fun filled and colourful carnival at the Bayelsa State camp for the 2016 Batch B, Stream 2 Corp Members live at Kaiama Grammar School, Opokuma Kolokuma Local Government Area. The carnival featured varieties of beautiful performances from all the 10 platoons on camp, displaying various cultural heritage and fostering national unity. Thrilling music from the unrivaled DJ Drexx, the OBS (Orientation  Broadcasting Service) DJ on planet earth, brought moments alive. The NYSC musical band and Red cross were not left out. The carnival was also graced by the presence of the NYSC State coordinator, Camp Coordinator, Camp Commandant and other Camp Officials. Amidst joy and jingles, platoon 8 emerged the winner!

NYSC Bayelsa State Expects Batch A Corp Members

All is now set for the opening of the 2017 Batch A Stream I Orientation Course in Bayelsa State according to Mrs Loto Bolade, the State NYSC Coordinator. The Orientation Course for Batch A which will take place at the NYSC temporary orientation camp in Kaiama, Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa state on Tuesday 22nd May, 2017, with the swearing in ceremony billed for Thursday 24th May. Mrs Loto said measures have been taken to ensure that the orientation venue is conducive for the over 1000 corps members expected in the state, adding that the welfare and safety of corps members posted to the state is at the top of the scheme's concerns. The closing ceremony of the Orientation Course will take place on June 12th, 2017.
